Cincinnati Ohio (Monday June 1st, 2026): Downtown Cincinnati establishment is closing its doors. As of Monday June 1st, 2026 BARU will close permanently. Owners are focusing all operational efforts on their partner establishment Vintage on Race.

“BARU has enjoyed a strong and successful run since opening its doors in 2023 and we are deeply grateful to all of the patrons who have supported us over the years. From the beginning, our goal was to open with energy and bring an elevated sushi culture to downtown Cincinnati, and we are proud to have done just that. While the decision was not an easy one, we are shifting our focus to Vintage On Race, a concept also located in the Fountain District. Vintage continues to be a beloved establishment and holds exciting potential for future growth. 3CDC has been an exceptional partner for both concepts, and we believe the Fountain District offers tremendous opportunity. It has been inspiring to witness its evolution in recent years.”
